Illustrated Parks Maps

I had the pleasure of designing illustrated maps for Calvert Regional Park (MD) and
Black River Fields (NJ).

These maps are intended to facilitate the flow of traffic to designated parking areas and to provide updates for visitors about recent additions. The straightforward style informs guests without confusion as they arrive for tournaments, events, or leisure.

This map contains vector illustrations of key features including roads, pathways, parking areas, buildings, and iconic landmarks. The vibrant colors and font selection help draw the viewer’s attention to important points of interest, as well as clearly delineate the different sections of the parks. Key emphasis was placed on the entrances to each parking lot to avoid misdirected traffic. For example, the Black River Fields Illustrated Map has a reproduction of the wooden entrance sign that would normally be seen on the road, which notifies driver of the entry point.
